Step by Step: How We Restore Your Furniture

Initial Consultation
It starts with a conversation. Tell us about your furniture, what's wrong with it, and what you want to achieve. We listen, ask questions, and provide honest advice about what's possible and what makes sense for your situation.
On-Site Assessment
For larger pieces or project estimates, we visit your location to evaluate the furniture in person. We take photos, notes, and measurements. This helps us give you an accurate quote and identify any challenges upfront.
Detailed Quote
Within 24 hours of our assessment, you receive a comprehensive quote. It breaks down all costs clearly: labor, materials, any parts that need ordering, and timeline. No hidden fees, no surprises—just honest pricing.
Furniture Pickup
Once you approve the quote, we schedule pickup. We carefully wrap and transport your furniture to our workshop. For local clients in Palmdale, Lancaster, and Quartz Hill, pickup is often free for projects over $300.
Disassembly & Documentation
Every piece is carefully taken apart, with components documented and tagged. This ensures proper reassembly and allows us to access all areas that need attention. Drawers are emptied, legs are removed, and everything gets organized.
Deep Cleaning
Before any repair work begins, everything gets thoroughly cleaned. Years of accumulated dirt, oils, and grime are removed. This cleaning step often reveals the true condition of the furniture underneath.
Surface Preparation
For refinishing work, the old finish is carefully stripped. Surfaces are sanded smooth, progressing through multiple grits. Any veneer repairs are completed. This preparation is crucial for a beautiful final result.
Repair Work
Damaged components are repaired or replaced. Gouges are filled and blended. Joints are reinforced. Hardware is repaired or sourced as needed. This is where structural issues are addressed.
Staining (If Requested)
If you're changing or restoring color, stain is applied in controlled layers. We test samples first to ensure the color matches your vision. Multiple thin layers produce better results than fewer heavy coats.
Finish Application
The final finish is applied in multiple coats—typically 3-5 coats depending on the project. Each coat is sanded lightly before the next is applied. We use quality lacquers and polyurethanes for durability.
Upholstery Work
For chairs and furniture with fabric or leather, this is when upholstery happens. New foam is installed, fabric or leather is carefully stretched and stapled, and edges are finished neatly.
Reassembly
All components are reassembled in reverse order of disassembly. Every bolt is tightened, every mechanism is tested, every drawer is adjusted. We won't move to the next step until everything works perfectly.
Quality Inspection
Before delivery, everything goes through a thorough inspection. We check every surface, every mechanism, every detail. If it doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't leave the shop.
Delivery & Setup
